Crepesville – There’s nothing quite as fun and exotic as coming to the market and having a great crepe for breakfast! Custom made right before your eyes, you can select from either breakfast (strawberry, apple, etc) or savory (chicken, vegetable and more) crepes. Empanada World -Rosita Cruz, an international chef with over 50 years of experience, and her family produce a fabulous assortment of empanadas with succulent fillings made of the finest ingredients. Rosita’s creations are baked on site and provide an explosion of exotic Latin, European and American flavors. |
Foodies – Judy Staunko, one of the Market founders, is renown for her unusual soup recipes. Habana Café – David & Jo Gonzalez-Hastings, the founders of the award-winning Habana Café (5402 Gulfport Blvd. S in Gulfport) offer authentic Cuban cuisine such as roasted pork sandwich, guava & cream cheese pastry, and more. Jo is author of the ‘The Habana Café Cookbook’, and her flan was the winner of the Southern Living Dessert category. |

The Kitchen (aka ‘Bowl of Granola’) – Margaret Guidicessi brings her rich experience cooking at many great kitchens. Reknown at the Market for her delicious varieties of granola, she now brings her own interpretation of many classic Hispanic treats. You can also find an large ever-changing selection of gourmet deli selections at The Kitchen, her new store at 409 Central Ave. |
MNM Barbeque – Mike ‘n Marcia Silverstein showcase their beautiful stainless steel barbeque rig to cook up barbeque specialties including ribs, chicken, hamburgers and more. You can also arrange for them to cater your next outdoor get together. |
Mama G’s – Joe Marcotti specializes in the recipes that his grandmother brought over from Sicily in the 1880’s. She passed them on to him in his youth, and he’s bringing them now to Market. You’ll love the authentic flavors he brings to life in the Original G roll, spinach pie, frittata pie, Italian sausage sub, and more. |
Motsapie – Augie and Jeannie Russo created their variation of a Hispanic classic – mozzarella cheese melted in between corn meal pancakes. It’s a wonderful combination of cheesy, crunchy and warm. They generously donate the Motsapie profits to a migrant support project in Wimauma. |
Paciugo Gelato Café - The finest Italian gelato is made fresh daily using traditional techniques and secret recipes. It delivers an intense flavor sensation because it has less air and is served warmer than ice cream... It’s also a healthy indulgence, with 70% less fat than regular ice cream. Skippers Kettle Corn – Lee Christopherson makes Kettle corn in the classic manner in large kettles using a wooden paddle. You’ll enjoy its slightly sweet and slightly salty flavor. Smoothie Man (aka Gregory Jones) creates premium fruit smoothies made with fresh fruit and ginger. Creative Loafing awarded his veggie burgers with a 2007 Best of the Bay award which they called “sublime, hot, crusty and creamy in equal measure, tasty enough for the most ardent carnivore”. |
Uhuru Breakfast Oasis – You’ll find your favorite home style gourmet breakfasts. Creative Loafing magazine awarded them a 2007 Best of the Bay award suggesting that you “settle down for the finest scrambled eggs, omelets and breakfast wraps anywhere.” They’re accompanied by herb seasoned homefries, fresh bread and a fruit garnish. |

Desserts by Milly – Milly Taylor was one of the founding members of the Market, inspired to participate by the compliments she always got about her home made pies. She started up with blueberry crisp, apple, cherry, and sweet potato pie. She’s since expanded her line to include ever-changing flavors of cakes, an assortment of breakfast breads, a wide variety of fresh cookies, and more. |
Michael’s Extraordinary Desserts - Michael Ostrander brings over 35 years of experience as an award winning executive pastry chef in premier hotels around the US. Come sample items like morning glory muffins, blueberry pound cake, apple strudel, rum almond croissant, tiramisu, coconut macaroons, almond biscotti, pumpkin bread, and more. Front Porch Produce - Angie Cheak brings a wonderful array of produce from her ‘front porch; store in Pass-a-grille. You’ll find that much of the produce comes from farms around the state. Looking over the array of colorful baskets of fruit and vegetables, you can easily imagine that you are standing in front of a great local farm stand. |
Mr I Got ‘em – As one of the original vendors at the Market, Brady Johnson carries on a decades-old Midtown produce tradition. He’s an unmistakable sight in his tuxedo and top hat, serving up huge smoked turkey legs. You’ll also find other BBQ favorites like pork, hot dogs, and grilled corn. Brady also supplies southern favorites like boiled peanuts and hot collard greens. |
Rudy’s Produce – Mohammed (aka Rudy) Elsayed, his wife and 5 children all participate in this family venture. Nader, the oldest son, serves up the cored pineapple, and Nour is the orange juice specialist. In addition to the broad array of fresh produce, you’ll find a selection of Mediterranean specialty foods including several flavors of hummus. |
Fisher Seafood – If you’re looking for the freshest possible seafood, you’ve found the place. Bringing fish fresh off the docks, Martin Fisher filets fish on the spot including snapper, grouper, and tuna. You’ll also find tasty smoked fish spread, shrimp, scallops, clams and more. |
Crabby Crab - Margie and Bob Miller of Madeira Beach sell fresh stone crabs that are cooked and ready to eat. Bob uses his own boat and 17 years of experience to bring the freshest crab at great prices to market. |
