Brought to you by

| Location: |
- Mahaffey Theater - Parking Garage (1st floor)
- 400 1st St S (which is just 2-3 block south of our current location at Al Lang stadium)
- Map
|
| When: |
- We’ll start June 6th, the week after we close down at Al Lang.
- We expect to run until Sept 19th.
- There will be no market on Sept 26.
- We’ll reopen at our regular location at Al Lang Stadium on Oct 3.
|
| Hours: |
- The hours will be 9am - 1 pm (closing an hour earlier than our regular market).
|
| Why in a Garage? |
- The ceiling is about 30 feet high, and its open on 3 sides - so it feels relatively open and spacious.
- The temperature is at least 10 degrees cooler in the garage. It feels even cooler than that because of the shade
and the waterfront breezes.
- It’s about as good a covered outdoor location as you could ask for (short of a custom constructed building).
|
| What’s it called? |
- The summer event will be called ‘Saturday Summer Market’ (brought to you by the St Petersburg Saturday Morning Market).
- We want to clearly differentiate it from our regular season, outdoor event.
|
| Who Will Participate? |
- The space will hold about 80 vendors (on the south side) of the first floor.
- Our full mix of current vendors is invited to participate.
- We will have a strong core of food, plant, and produce vendors as well as local farmers.
- Vendors will have the flexibility to participate on whatever schedule works for them over the summer. As a result, there will be more weekly variation in the vendors than during the regular season.
|
| Parking: |
- We have lots of parking space. In addition, the second floor of the garage (over 200 spaces) is under cover from sun and rain.
- If it's raining (which it often does during the summer), customers can park on the second floor, walk down and shop at the Market, return to their car, and never get wet. Very cool.
- There will be a $1 parking fee.
|
| Amenities: |
- We’ll have our usual array of seating to enable people to hang out and enjoy themselves.
- We’re going to see how the acoustics are in the space. Then we’ll decide if recorded or live music groups may work.
|
| Bathrooms: |
- Customers will have access to nice bathrooms in the Mahaffey during Market hours.
